D prevalent scenario..

The group that has been winning accolades ever since its inception a few years back n is rightly deserving is 'THE SHOWSTOPPERS'.I'm dedicating this column to the present scenario in M.I.T(w.r.t. dance n d dance groups that exist).

I opine that M.I.T. has an overwhelming number of gifted people when it comes to dance..This is quite evident from the number of fresh talent that we see every year..let's not stray from the basic point of discussion..coming back to the SHOWSTOPPERS..I honestly feel these people are very enthusiastic n serious when it comes to dance..The level of discipline,enthusiasm,determination n grit that they have is exemplary..something which was unparallaled for a long time..I have always admired them for these above stated qualities,more so for the amount of healthy competitive spirit that most(if not all)members have..

     Healthy competition is something that I totally stand for..perhaps this explains why the Showstoppers haven't had a decent challenge until in the recent past..which reminds me of another dance group the name of which only,yes ONLY resembles a type of explosive.. which since times immemorial has been trying incessantly,not to mention,in vain to defeat The Showstoppers.for it's high time they realised that mean n cheap actions don't actually help u in getting anywhere..what's worse U even lose the little amount of respect that you ought to be given..not to demean the immense amount of talent that some of the group members have...I know some of them personally...I feel that the team could do better with a more able team leader rather than some wannabe whose actions put the whole team to shame..perhaps this year onwards the present 2nd year guys in the team could do a very impressive job.

The recent incident which exposed d lack of healthy competition on the part of some of their members was regarding representing the college in the Eastern Non-Classical Group Dance event..

    The deserving team, 'BLITZKRIEG'(for folks who are not aware..it's the team of which I'm a member)..having won Revels'09 was supposed to represent the college in both the Eastern and Western Group Dance events in d mega event Utsav this year..Some self obsessed piece of sh*t failed to realise that yeh college ke izzat ka sawaal hai and that he could have set aside petty politics that he so frequently indulges in so that the name of the college wouldn't be tarnished!Alas!that didn't happen n  sheer spineless n mean actions n a bit of manipulation on his part landed him the offer:-)dis so called explosive grp went on to represent M.I.T. in d Eastern Grp Dance event in Utsav..gud if it made him happy but our worst nightmares came true on Tuesday,24th March 2009 when a shit*y performance went a long way in disgracing our college..Yaar,when will u guys realise dat if U wanna represent the college you ought to have some standard!dats d very reason y The Showstoppers had been representing the college for the last few years and not you..

 

 But that is some worthless ass**** in some dance group who perhaps doen't even deserves mention in my blog...Overall the picture isn't that gloomy..D gud news is that my team 'BLITZKRIEG' made d college proud by bagging d 2nd position out of some 20 0dd teams and that too when d competiton was very tough(to say the least)!

 Apart from the above stated groups there's another dance group 'Nasha' comprising 2nd year students who are a very decent group as well..their co-ordination n d filmy style is a big hit with the audience..
